We have a new addition to the family!!! His name is Earl. He is a pound puppy and we think he is a beagle mix. He is named after a special grandpa in the family! We recommend a proactive approach to flea and tick control with preventative medications through your veterinarian. If you even suspect you have fleas or ticks in your yard or home, contact a professional immediately as these pests carry deadly diseases.

Why to they bite you???? The mosquitos in my neighbors backyard attack me, yet in my own yard I hardly ever get bit??? We know the answer without even the latest and greatest info....the simple problem is STANDING WATER!!! I know that the birds love to get the water in the bath, they actually count on it, however any other ponds, fish tanks, dog bowls (at night take them in if they do not sleep outside, otherwise they need a constant supply any hours of the evening that they are outside). Think about little sources...search them out and eliminate them..Remember, all insects need H2O!... look at this link for more info!!

Check out PestFacts.org. This web site is a great resource for why we as pest professionals must resort to using chemicals in some instances. A great analogy is in medicine. Sometimes we have to use medications to solve a problem. What a great doctor does is first assess the situation and then try to solve the illness without drugs. This is what a responsible pest professional should also be doing at your home or business. If however, pesticides are necessary they must successfully complete as many as 120 government-mandated tests before the Environmental Protection Agency considers label approval and product registration. Make sure your pest professional follows this philosophy so that we can all help protect human health safety and environmental quality.

That is the question we are all asking in central Texas! With the lakes at almost record lows, strange things are happening with pest control! All pests need water and if they can not find it in the usual places they will invade structures even more! Remove any standing water around your home's perimeter to help reduce attracting pests.
